Reviews have dropped for the new production of Sleepless the Musical in London – what did the critics make of it?

Based on the screenplay of Sleepless in Seattle, the stage adaptation has a book by Michael Burdette and music and lyrics by new British writers Robert Scott and Brendan Cull.

The new production opened at the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre on August 25, 2020.

Sleepless the musical tells the story of Sam who moves to Seattle with his eight-year-old son Jonah following the death of his wife. When Jonah calls in to a talk-radio program to find a new partner for his father, one listener finds herself going to great lengths to meet Sam.

The cast is led by Jay McGuiness as Sam and Kimberley Walsh as Annie. They are joined by Daniel Casey as Walter, Harriet Thorpe as Eleanor, Tania Mathurin as Becky and Jake Sharp as Rob.

Performances will be on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:45PM and Thursdays at 7PM. Matinees will be at 3PM on Saturdays and Sundays.
